James wanted to have his smile improved. His teeth were extremely yellow and against a fair colored skin it looks worse. With darker skin tones the shade of the teeth do not need to be as bright since there is plenty of contrast. However, with lighter skin tones it is important that the shade of teeth be very bright. This creates contrast from skin to teeth. James's teeth were also severely discolored at certain spots and chipped and worn out. What really was an asset for James was that the teeth in his upper arch were perfectly laid out. This provides for a conservative approach to his smile design. We were able to place 10 upper veneers with minimal tooth preparation.
