Richard came to our office with a complex problem. He had a severe gum condition that had caused his front teeth to loosen. What had also occurred was migration and movement of his teeth into a flared position. This was a direct result from a loss of tooth support. Richard wanted to correct his gum problem as well as improve the cosmetics of his smile. His treatment plan consisted of treating his gum condition and then orthodontically repositioning the lower front teeth to close the spacing that had occurred and create a stable interdigitation of his bite. With the improved bite relationship we are now in a much better position to improve the esthetics of his smile. A bonded fixed porcelain bridge was placed to give these teeth strength and hold them in their new position.
