Julie never liked her porcelain laminates that were placed about 10 years ago. She mentioned that they looked very fake and were constantly being repaired. Julie explained to us that the reason she originally had laminates placed on her teeth was because of her severe tetracycline staining which made her teeth extremly dark and not responsive to bleaching. In addition to her tetracycline staining she didn't like her gummy look and wanted to correct that. Our treatment for Julie consisted of a Laser gum lift and placement of 10 laminates on the upper. Also, Julie's upper back crowns were replaced with all porcelain. By replacing all the existing laminates and crowns in the upper arch we were able to acheive 4 things. 1) brighten her smile 2)widen the smile 3)correct the bite to a more ideal and comfortable position 4) correct the gummy look.
