When Erica got engaged and had a date set for the wedding she knew she had to fix her smile. Erica had multiple issues and concerns about her smile that had to be addressed to arrive at a successful outcome. Erica had 3 crowns placed on her front teeth that were asymmetrical and her uneven gumline made matters worse. To make the case even more complicated, upon removal of the existing crowns we noticed that one of the supporting teeth had decayed severely and had to be removed. Also one of her premolar teeth that had a large silver filling needed a root canal as well. Although a complex case, to arrive at an ideal outcome careful planning is vital. Our plan could not have been accomplished if it was not phased correctly and the goal for each phase was not satisfactorily met before moving on to the next phase. Once the decayed tooth was removed and an implant placed, we were able to proceed to the following step which involved correcting the gumline position in order to create symmetry from right to left side of her smile. Following the successful completion of these steps we were able to move on to the restorative phase which involved placement of an implant crown and 3 additional crowns on her teeth plus 3 veneers. Erica came to us several months in advance of her wedding which gave us adequate time to arrive at a wonderful result for her. She could not have been any happier knowing that this stressful situation was resolved to her satisfaction.
