Defne had attempted to improve her smile with composite bonding about 10 years ago. Although at the time she was quite ecstatic with the improvements it did not last for too long. Defne has a severe staining of her teeth caused by tetracycline antibiotics taken as a child. Tetracycline staining can be quite severe to a point where bleaching will not affect the shade to a noticeable degree. This was the case for Defne. The other issue that had to be addressed in her smile was the level of the gums. They were quite uneven and needed to be realigned first with laser gum correction. Once the level had stabilized we were able to place 10 porcelain veneers to correct the shape and color to a natural yet brighter color that enhanced her facial and skin tones.
