NYC Smile Design - BLOG - Up Close and Personal With Lara

When our colleagues begin referring their friends to us, we are gratified to realize that a level of trust has been established. Lara (a friend of a colleague) came to see us because she was not happy about one of her front teeth. The remainder of an earlier bonding procedure had discolored over the years.  But there was more: Lara had also been grinding her teeth over the years, too, and they had become flattened as a result. This created an unflattering look for her front teeth, as they had all fallen into line without any clear delineation or curves at the edges of the teeth. Initially, we had planned for two veneers (even though we had told Lara that we felt four veneers would really look much better). But women are entitled to change their minds; just as we were about to place the two veneers, Lara decided to go with our initial plan.  We were able to complete the veneers right before her trip to London to visit her family.

As a result, Lara said that everyone at home complemented her on her new look, but couldn’t exactly figure out just what had made it a reality. After another look, one of her friends “got it,” and told Lara her teeth looked great. While Lara was being treated, we enjoyed her positive outlook on life, and relished the dramatic results of our work. Her appreciation was a real pleasure! And so was the appreciation of the colleague who had referred her to us.
