After having braces as a teenager and an adult and still not achieving the smile she wanted, Katie decided that enough was enough!
“I’m at a time in my life where I’m done with braces. I wanted to look for other options so that I didn’t have to go through braces again. I did a lot of research, and Dr. Tabib and Dr. Mello’s office and all the great work that they do caught my attention.”
“Of course, I did a lot of research about veneers! And I thought, if I’m going to do this, then I’m going to find one of the best doctors in New York City to get it done. And that was the beginning of the journey to my smile.”
Like many people who are unhappy with their teeth, Katie became self-conscious about her smile. She didn’t smile in photos with her mouth open. She was careful to keep her lips closed because she didn’t want to show her teeth. Katie even realized that when she was feeling great joy and couldn’t help but smile widely, she covered her mouth with her hands. How sad. Everyone should be able to be in the moment and feel fully happy without feeling shy and embarrassed.
When it was time to find a dental office, Katie did her homework! “I went to see three other doctors before I met Dr. Tabib and Dr. Mello.” At the first consultation, she presented all of her concerns about tooth shape, coloration, and the gap between two of her teeth. After her first basic exam to see if she was a good candidate for veneers, we came up with a plan together to give Katie the smile she wanted with ten upper porcelain veneers.
