Dental veneers, commonly known as porcelain veneers, are placed over the front of teeth that are marred by cosmetic imperfections. Veneers can be used to address spacing issues, crooked tooth presentation, and irregular or inconsistent tooth sizes. They can also be used to strengthen teeth weakened by chips and cracks, and to improve the shading of teeth with deep or severe staining.
At NYC Smile Design, we take every care to make sure the dental veneers we place look and feel like your natural teeth. Durable, stain-resistant, and long-lasting, the porcelain veneers placed by our Manhattan cosmetic dentists can improve the appearance of your smile for several years – often with only minimal maintenance.
The Porcelain Veneers Process
The dental veneers offered at our office are crafted by master ceramists. We have partnered with Certified Dental Technicians at some of New York’s most trusted and seasoned dental labs to ensure the final product we offer is ideally suited for the individual.
During your first visit, we will listen to your concerns, assess your problem areas, and craft a treatment plan. We can discuss financing your procedure at this time as well, if that option is attractive to you.
During your second visit, we will make an impression of your teeth, remove a small amount of enamel, and place temporary veneers over the treated teeth. The impression will be sent to our dental lab partners who will carefully create your veneers to our exact specifications. When these are ready, you will return to our office for a third visit to have them placed.
The porcelain veneers process may take two weeks or more, depending on how many teeth are being treated and other factors specific to your needs. During your initial consultation we will discuss timelines to assist you in properly preparing for your dental veneers.
