Nellie had caps on 4 of her front teeth. She had explained to us that this was the 2nd set of crowns. She just was not sure why they kept breaking down. Needless to say the esthetics never pleased Nellie. "It was just too bulky and grey looking." Nellie, having an outgoing personality was never really bothered by them. However, she was convinced that they had to be replaced when during her pregnancy one of the caps popped off, quite embarrassingly, at dinner. We were able to effectively cement the old cap to get by during the pregnancy. Our plan for Nellie included re-arranging her gum levels with laser to gain symmetry of the gum level and better proportions of teeth. Finally, once the gum level had settled to where we wanted, the front 4 caps were replaced with all porcelain caps. Additionally 5 laminates were placed on either side of the 4 caps to fill in her smile and to give a balanced representation of the back teeth in relation to the front.
