Jon had visited our office few years back, trying to find out what his options would be to improve his smile. Jon has congenitally missing teeth( certain adult teeth never formed). Eventually, the adjacent teeth next to the missing one drifted out of position. Another problem we encountered was that one of the lateral teeth was formed as a peg lateral which means that the tooth is very tiny. All of this combined gives you quite a bit of gaps forming between teeth. When Jon met us a few years ago we recommended braces to move them in the correct position first and then placing veneers. The second time Jon met us he mentioned he would not be interested in braces and wanted to know what would be the alternative. After further analysis we were able to come up with a plan that would not compromise esthetics and function without doing braces. We were able to place venners with a combination of porcelain bridge.
