John wanted his smile improved however; he never thought his severe underbite would ever be corrected. John's lower jaw was completely in front of the upper. The exact opposite of the way it should be. The solutions to his problems were always too risky to pursue- he was not interested in jaw surgery, as was recommended in previous consults. We were able to propose a more conservative option for John. We proposed that we realign his teeth to a position where they could then be restored with veneers. This dual approach would satisfactorily correct his teeth position and enhance his smile. With a combination of Invisalign on the upper arch and ceramic brackets on the lower, we were able to move the teeth into a more ideal relationship. This step in his treatment took about 11 months to correct. Once we were happy with the position of his teeth 6 upper front teeth and 6 lower front teeth were prepared for porcelain veneers. John never thought any of this was possible and he is now ecstatic!
