When she first consulted us, Gloria's smile consisted of an upper full denture and a lower removable partial denture that was anchored to her remaining teeth. Unfortunately, partial dentures can be quite destructive to the existing teeth, as they create too much pressure for the teeth and can cause increasing bone loss. Gloria wanted to replace both her upper full and lower partial dentures with a new set. With tooth loss, implants are usually the best solution to the problem, but implants were not an option for Gloria. She did not feel comfortable going through the implant process to restore her mouth. After discussing the possibilities, we decided to replace the upper full denture with a new set which would fit, and look, better and to create a new non-removable permanent bridge for her lower arch. It was more comfortable than her original removable bridge, and placed less pressure on her existing teeth. Gloria loves her new teeth, is less aware of them, and feels like a star.
