Ellen wanted to improve the appearance of her smile but wasn’t sure if bleaching would be the only solution.  Years back Ellen had crowns placed on a few teeth that always showed a black line around it and silver/mercury fillings that were greying her teeth.  Silver fillings after about 7 years can darken the teeth especially when they are too large.   The first thing we had to correct for Ellen  was the excessive gummy look.  What we did was lift the gum line to create symmetry and harmony.  Once we were happy with the gum levels we replaced the existing caps and silver fillings with porcelain and placed porcelain veneers on the front teeth.
